On the morning of April 9 2003 participants begin to gather at the Madison County Emergency Operations Center to participate in a Smallpox Tabletop Exercise facilitated by the Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. Participating in this exercise were: Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross Madison County Emergency Management Department Madison County Health Department Madison County Sheriff's Office Madison County Building Inspector's Office Madison County School District Madison County Board of County Commissioners Madison County Emergency Medical Services City of Madison Police Department City of Madison Fire Department Madison County Memorial Hospital North Florida Community College Lee Volunteer Fire Department Pinetta Volunteer Fire Department Dixie Packers Inc Madison Correctional Institution Green Publishing Company Inc
	The exercise begins with Roberta Maddox, an American Red Cross Disaster Services Volunteer presenting how the exercise will be facilitated.
	During the first module of the exercise participants are grouped into the following function areas: Emergency Management, Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement, Public Health, Public Information and Unified Command. Participants in the Emergency Management group include Madison County officials and American Red Cross staff.
	Seen here is the Public Information group comprised of members of the media, the American Red Cross and other public and private organizations.
	Allan Blanton, Chief City of Madison Fire Department leads the discussion in the Fire and Emergency Medical Services group.
	Members of the Law Enforcement group include the Madison County Sheriff Peter Bucher and the Chief of the City of Madison Police Department Rick Davis.
